...it's christmas time, in the city...

aaaaaaahhhhhhhhh I am in such a good mood.

It may have been my coffee AND black tea (you would have thought when I told Robyn to pick me up a Tazo "awake" tea that it would have registered in my mind that it was not a green tea. . . ), but I am in a very uppity mood. It is wonderful. I finished my exams this morning--isn't that glorious?? I have nothing left to do!

Well, essentially. I have a pile of laundry that is waiting to be dried, and lots of garbage to clean up in my room, I should dust the surfaces, wash my sheets, make my bed, vacuum, put all of my books away. . .start packing. . .

but mostly I've been sleeping!

Tomorrow I'm going to be up and at'em however. I'm going to go to Starbucks and work on admissions stuff for a couple of hours, call Lyn, go into town and scope out prices for Christmas gifts. . .write a few cards. . .shop. . .oh yes, the daily meals too! I also will start a list for packing.

Just added a few things to my blackberry on a list! oh i love my cell phone.

Anyhoo, tonight is the "midnight breakfast" but it's really at 11. We get pancakes and waffles and everything. I'm excited, and maybe they won't be completely out of food!!! I've had so many carbs today, however. I finally did a meal exchange at Starbucks and got a coffee and a blueberry scone. I now know what my future breakfasts will consist of. I am so excited. Eep!

Before the breakfast tonight, however, I'm going to the senior apartments with Patrick to meet his PC (not sure what it stands for, but it's kind of like his mentor for first generation college students??). After that. . . another nap? Fold laundry? OH. Rob and I are visiting Missy. That'll be fun.

Anyhoos. I'm so excited to get home. I'm excited to sleep, to eat GOOD food, to watch movies, to see people!!! It's going to be a blast. Plus I have a goal in mind. I want to make use of all of my T-shirts I've accumulated over the high school years. I thought about doing this last year, but I'd like to make a quilt out of them. I don't know yet what I'll be putting on the back or whether I'll be stuffing it or what. . . but it should be fun. That way I get rid of all of my old T-shirts but get to reminisce about them in a way. Woot! I'm excited.

Well, I should get to working on these letters. Ciao!

Hey Jules! I didn't know that you were a quilter!

First of all, I had a super fun time getting to know you at the round party. Second, if you want help with the quilt or if you want to sit around and quilt with me some time (I'm currently hand quilting a twin-size), just let me know!

We might have to wait until formal recruitment is over, but that's ok. Oh, and the offer remains on the table no matter what sorority you join or even if you stay indie. I'm just happy to have a fellow quilter on campus!!

Love you much and Merry Christmas!
